Health and Wellbeing

At St Margaret’s House we offer a vibrant programme of health and wellbeing activities which bring people together to strengthen their physical and mental wellbeing. We have a dedicated fitness studio, the Yoganest, and we also run classes and workshops across the rest of our premises.

We took on the Yoganest in 2014, to provide affordable and accessible fitness andyoga classes for the community.  This intimate yoga studio now has a full timetable of over 30 classes a week, including yoga, pilates and feldenkrais. Check out our timetable and book onto your next session here.

We also open up our lovely Hall and Chapel spaces for drop in classes in the evenings with access through the arch at 17 Old Ford Road. Classes include swing dancing, meditation and Hatha Yoga, see the timetable here.

A NEW WAY TO ENJOY OUR CLASSES

We partnered up with the MindBody app to make it easier than ever  for you to book your sessions at the Yoganest

Now you can easily search, book and pay for classes and discover what works best for your schedule.

To celebrate, we prepared a few gift vouchers for you or your dear ones!

• £70 – Slow and Steady (equivalent to a 10 Classpass, valid for 6 months)

• £80 – Immerse Yourself (equivalent to a monthly membership)

• £35 – Test the Water (equivalent to a 5 Classpass, valid for 3 months)

Gift cards can also be used for workshops and single classes

As with all of our projects, the Yoganest is also about making meaningful connections with people that live in the same area and share the same interests.

Here is just one of the stories about the warm community feeling that we support with the help of the wonderful teachers who dedicate their time to sharing their skills and knowledge:

''I found that the Sunday morning class suited me best. Flavia Cerrone sets it at just the right level and she is great at creating a friendly environment where people can interact with each other without feeling out of place. For me, the yoga class is not just about the practice, which is wonderful in its own way, but it’s also about who you meet and the sense of community that it creates, bringing locals together with whom you would not meet unless you took up a common interest like yoga! ''  Amanda Taylor, Yoganest student

Studio opens 15 minutes before classes.
