Venue: Gallery Cafe

7:30pm to 10:30pm | £5 adv | £8 otd

Blue in Green returns to our cafe once again for another night of live jazz from emerging musicians with art materials provided for the audience to create work in response to the music. Everyone is welcome.

Our guest act this time is Remembering Emma, a special one-off project that continues a long tradition of interweaving jazz music with poetry. Matthew Grenz and his friends present a selection of poems by Thomas Hardy written after the passing of his first wife Emma. The poems, read by Devamitra and Max Harrison, will be framed by a set of contemporary jazz performed by Matthew Grenz (sax), Jack Banjo Courtney (trumpet), Toby Comeau (keys), Ollie Copeland (bass) and Boz Martin-Jones (drums). Support will be provided by a slimmed-down house band.

*Please note that guaranteed table seating is limited to 30, available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Limited standing space will also be available
